LAKE ST. CLAIR July 15 thru 19

St. Clair continues to turn out lots of action for My wife and I. we went 22 for 28 with half of them being over 40 inches. two 45's a 46 and a 48 with a 22 inch girth for big fish. Talonz Slashers continued to be our best producers taking 15 of the 22 fish. Mordas Minnows put an additional 6 fish in the boat and one came on the old Blue frog Loke. Down rods 20 feet back with 4 oz. mini balls and board rods 25 and 2. water temps at 76/79 weather was windy but nice. Blues and browns got it done and trolling speeds were at or near 4.3 gps. Walleys Baits on Sandwich street in Windsor have the Talonz Slashers but thier stock is getting slim. They will soon be in Lakeside tackle in St. Claire shores. They also have the Mordas. Top producing colors have been Coco Perch, Black sucker,Brown Sucker, Olive Frog and yellow belly blue frog. These are must have colors right now on St. Clair. Kingfisher

also the top color was the woodie blue pearl tiger. on the canuck side.woodie baits intoduced a new fall 9 incher that slammed fall fish which was an excellent bait on short rods in the wash. i do believe that won a few tournies for big fish.
